We are looking for people with the will to make a difference to join Be Caring as a Complex Care Worker. As a Home Carer for people with complex health care needs, you will support customers in their own homes across Newcastle and Gateshead.

Pay

Working on shifts, 

  • £9.70p/hr - plus 20p payment per visit!
  • Mileage - 40p per mile

Working Hours

Join our team of  Complex Care Workers. We offer full and part-time hours which include days, nights and weekends. 

  • Day Sits (8 - 12 hours)
  • Waking Night (8 - 12 hours)
  • Early and Late Shifts (pop-ins)

£500 - New starter bonus  *

    Experience Required

    Previous care experience is required to be considered for this role.

    We are seeking to recruit experienced colleagues to join our team and ask that you are genuinely caring and compassionate with a drive to make a difference to the lives of those who we support in our local communities.

    We provide full training and support for everyone who joins Be Caring, which includes paid comprehensive induction training on; community and individual wellbeing, fluids and nutrition, medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid, infection prevention and control, professional boundaries, safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and diversity.

    The Role

    As a Complex Care Worker for people with complex health care needs, you will be kind and compassionate, building caring and supportive relationships with the people you support and their families. You will deliver personalised care and support to people in their homes. You will place dignity at the heart of the care you provide, maximising independence through enabling approaches and building care and support networks for individuals, involving family and friends and their local community whilst working alongside and supporting our healthcare colleagues.

    Typical care and support tasks within a care plan include;

    • Personal care- including intimate care with dignity.
    • The administration or prompting of medication.
    • Preparation of meals and/or drinks.
    • Completion of domestic tasks including laundry, cleaning and shopping as well as supporting with specific health needs and equipment.
    • Complex moving and positioning, including the use of equipment.

    Your role may include support with additional medical needs such as; PEG feeds, ventilators, cough assist, suctioning and NG tube feeds, bowel care, spinal injury associated care, tracheostomy care.

    We are nurse-led and any specific training needs will be facilitated in-house.

    * New Starter Bonus (for those whose first shift starts between 1st October to 31st December 2021)

    • £500 for 40+ average weekly hours (£250 per payment)
    • £400 for 30-39 average weekly hours (£200 per payment)
    • £300 for 20-29 average weekly hours (£150 per payment)
    • £200 for 10-19 average weekly hours (£100 per payment)
