Job Description 

You will engage and inspire colleagues through their training, delivering induction, refresher, and individualised training to meet Be Caring standards and compliance targets. You develop your training in response to local needs, issues, and priorities, working with your wider training team and central team to improving the knowledge and competence of care colleagues in the field. You can develop and deliver training materials and tailored training for colleagues in relation to individual clients and their needs. You are meticulous and organised, prioritising your workload to meet our training and compliance targets.

We are seeking an experienced, confident, and dynamic Trainer who will:

  1. Plan and deliver a programme of induction, refresher and individualised bespoke training to colleagues ensuring compliance with the Care Certificate and Be Caring standards and compliance targets
  2. Work collaboratively with your local management, the wider Training team and central support functions to continually develop your training materials and delivery programme.
  3. Prioritise your workload, managing your training delivery alongside administrative tasks to identify risk areas and maintain compliance with training delivery targets.

Deliver a Training Plan for Colleagues

  • Deliver high quality training programmes including induction, refreshers, and ad-hoc programmes to meet individual needs.
  • Achieve high levels of training compliance in the service maintaining and/or exceeding Be Caring and industry standards.
  • Ensure all colleagues are compliant with the Care Certificate and CQC fundamental standards and other relevant legislation, industry standards and guidance.
  • Utilise mixed methods of training delivery, Inc. eLearning as appropriate, with a strong focus on classroom-based delivery where possible.
  • Assess and evaluate colleague’s knowledge and competence, sharing information and making recommendations to the Service Manager about their readiness and competence to deliver high quality care.

Collaboration

  • Embed a continuous improvement approach, seeking feedback and making changes to training materials as appropriate and in collaboration with the central Training Manager and wider Training team.
  • Work with the Training Manger and wider Training team, contributing to the design, development and production of training materials, documents, and manuals to ensure consistency and quality of content and delivery.
  • Works with Senior Management Team to identify the training requirements tailored to local service needs and the needs of colleagues and the people we support.
  • Contribute to communication campaigns with the central communications team and your local team.
  • Identify risk areas, working with your Service Manager to prioritise training delivery to manage and mitigate those risks.

Administration

  • Manages and maintains training information on our care system for training reporting and record maintenance.
  • Maintain records and evidence of learning Inc. knowledge assessments, feedback, and other assessments.
  • Assign, manage and monitor eLearning compliance for colleagues in your local service.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of designing, developing, and delivering training programmes.
  • An appropriate teaching or training qualification (desirable)
  • Must be ICT literate with good presentation skills.
  • Critical to the post is for you to be up to date with the latest relevant legislation, legal requirements and in particular those impacting the Health and Social Care.

Additional Information

  • If you do not have Train the Trainer qualifications, we will support you to achieve this within 18 months of starting your role.
