We are recruiting full and part-time Community Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in Bradford.

  • BD2 - Eccleshill
  • BD3 - Barkerend
  • BD4 - East Bowling
  • BD8 - Girlington & Toller
  • BD7 - Great Horton

Pay: £12.30 p/hr (drivers) / £11.50 p/hr (walkers)

  • 45p per mile for drivers
  • 15p per mile for cyclists

As a Community Care Assistant in Bradford for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned with our shift patterns, which include early starts, late evenings and weekend working:

  • Early shift: 7:00am - 2:00pm
  • Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)

As a Community Care Assistant in Bradford for Be Caring, we will agree your working pattern, setting 2-week rota which includes:

  • Alternate full weekends.

Job Description

You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Community Care Assistant in Bradford for Be Caring, patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role. As a Community Care Assistant working in Bradford, you will:

  • Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
  • Promote independence using enabling approaches.
  • Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
  • Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
  • Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.

Induction Training

We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Community Care Assistant. As a Community Care Assistant for Be Caring Bradford, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training, including:

  • Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
  • Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
  • Basic Life Support, Moving and positioning, and pressure sores (React to Red)
  • Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
  • Learning Disabilities, Autism, Dementia, mental health and mental capacity act.
